Smart Buildings of the Future!

Phoenix Contact‬ says that flexible building automation can be achieved with the ILC 2050 controller and Niagara Framework.

The ILC 2050 BI has all the functionality of a building controller, but with the option of up to 63 I/O terminals directly connected. The ILC 2050 BI has an integrated 4 port Ethernet switch, with the option of M-bus and Dali modules which can be directly connected to the building controller.  The direct connection of I/O ensures extremely high-speed data processing.
The integrated Niagara Framework enables IIoT-based automation through standardisation of various data types. This makes it easy to connect with various sensors and actuators regardless of the manufacturer and communication protocol.  Supported protocols include:

  • BACnet IP
  • KNX IP
  • M-Bus
  • Modbus
  • BACnet MS/TP
  • SNMP
  • DALI

In addition, the ILC 2050 BI also has an incredibly small footprint – over 500 signals can be connected directly to the ILC 2050 BI controller. This saves a huge amount of space in the control cabinet and creates endless design possibilities.
The ILC 2050 BI does not have to be limited to building management. This controller and I/O can be used on numerous industrial projects, alongside the trusted Niagara 4 framework giving the following benefits:

  • Robust and high speed
  • Real-time control
  • High level accuracy
  • Lowcycle times
  • Optimal control quality
